The American Seam story

So glad you are here!  I'm Barbara Johnson and I'm excited to have you join my quilting journey.

A few years ago I was taking some random classes with friends, trying to get some creativity going.  We went to a wide variety of classes, but out of everything we sampled, it was quilting that really stuck with me and I kept going to back to learn more and more.

Along with my interest in making and designing quilts of my own, I also have a deep interest in finding and saving old quilts.  I'm very lucky to live close to Lancaster County in Pennsylvania, which has a strong Amish community and many antique shops that have quilt treasures ready to be found.  Please take a look at the quilt listings in my Shop on the website, and think about adding a wonderful vintage quilt to your own collection.
